See more photos of Casamar here.
Casamar is located 20 miles south of the Marsh Harbour, Abaco International Airport in the small artist community of Little Harbour, home to world famous Pete's Pub.

Little Harbour is located at the end of the road in the heart of Bonefish Country. Turn left just outside of the harbour and you enter the magical world of "the Bight Old Robinson". The bight is the breeding ground for snappers, jacks, barracudas, sea turtles, groupers, crabs, shrimp, rays, sharks, lobsters, all varieties of reef fish and the elusive grey ghost of the flats, Bonefish. At Ubonefish you will benefit from 30 years of experience fishing in the bight and all the other areas surrounding the pristine waters of Little Harbour and the beautiful island of Abaco. Here is a long distant view of the south end of the "bight" and a view of the entrance to Little Harbour.

Cherokee Sound is a short 10 minute drive from Casamar and is the home of world renown Bonefishing and Bonefishing guides. Cherokee is a great place for beginning and experienced fisherman to walk on your own as there are acres and acres of white sand flats to hunt for bonefish. Here is my good friend Johan with bonefish in hand near the end of the long dock in Cherokee and a couple views of the flats in front of town.

At Ubonefish, one of our favorite places to fish on your own is a few miles north of Little Harbour in the Snake Cay area that is the perfect place to pack your rods, cooler, lunch and explore by kayak. Snake Cay is a huge maze of flats, mangroves, creeks and channels that continues for miles where you rarely see anything other than the natural beauty of crystal clear Bahamian water. While you are there why not bring home some snappers for dinner!

South of Casamar down the Abaco Highway brings you to Crossing Rocks where you can fish the world famous "Marls" on the west side of Abaco, considered one of the best Bonefishing areas on the planet. The bonefish are usually smaller here than on the East side of Abaco but are prolific with schools sometimes holding hundreds of fish. Here is a sight to raise your blood pressure!

Continue to the south end of Abaco brings you to Sandy Point where the "town flat" is easily fished from kayaks. A great place to finish a day of fantastic fishing with a cold beer in hand is at the local watering hole "Nancy's", watching the sunset and chatting with other fisherman and the owner and good friend Leslie Adderly, aka "Magoo".I was sitting with friends having a cold beer at Nancy's after a day of fishing when some one tossed a hoola hoop into the water and a casting contest resulted among some local guides. Here is Patrick Roberts who won the Bahamas Bonefish Championship a few years ago giving it his best cast, and laughing when he lost, along with his guide buddies.

I had to included a photo from the deck at Nancy's because it is one of the all time best places in the world to watch the sunset with a cold beer in hand with friends and local guides telling stories about another great day of fishing on Abaco.
At unbonefish we will teach you how to be prepared to catch barracudas and small sharks that are always present on the flats looking to make a meal out of a nice fat bonefish. Catching them is both challenging and rewarding, and a serious fight on light tackle.

Here is Johan shark fishing on Bookies Beach. That is the beach you can see from the deck at Casa Mar, and is a short 10 minute walk from the house. We decided to keep this shark. We had this shark on the grill at Casamar later that day and it was excellent.

This awesome photo taken by Johan just won first place in a photo contest in Sport Fishing Magazine and will be featured in a future article in the magazine!

Ubonefish can arrange local professional Bahamian guides that will pick you up at the house in the morning and return you in the afternoon after a half or full day fishing. The guiding fees are extra and must be paid directly to the guide at the end of the day. Both flats and ocean fishing guides are available.
